GF Forsikring is constructing its new headquarters in Cortex Park, Odense – a significant and modern building that combines functionality and well-being with a focus on sustainability. The project has been developed by Raundahl & Moesby as the turnkey contractor in close collaboration with AP Ejendomme as the investor and GF Forsikring as the client and user.
The building is designed to support teamwork and job satisfaction. Large open spaces, striking light and flexible areas provide the perfect setting for both day-to-day operations and larger joint events. As an atrium building, the headquarters offers the opportunity for town hall meetings and events in the large central atrium with its staircase.
On the roof, there is a shared roof terrace where employees can take breaks and eat lunch in an informal setting. Directly adjacent is an innovation lab – a multifunctional space for workshops, courses and development activities.
The new headquarters can accommodate up to 600 employees and has a 3,500 m² underground car park with approximately 80 parking spaces. The construction was carried out with a focus on quality, sustainable solutions and Nordic architectural references. The property will be certified to DGNB Gold.
Peikko was chosen as a partner for the project because we can deliver a complete solution with both steel composite columns and beams. This reduced the need for multiple suppliers, minimised coordination and ensured a more efficient construction process.
As part of the design process, a detailed 3D model was created, which made it possible to coordinate the delivery with the consultant and other suppliers. Any collisions were identified and resolved digitally before the elements went into production, instead of causing delays and extra work on the construction site.
The result was a total delivery of 3,000 metres of beams and 900 metres of columns, with on-site adjustments accounting for less than 0.15% of the total delivery amount. This ensured a smooth installation of 454 DELTABEAM® composite beams and 102 ATLANT® columns, with all elements fitting precisely as planned.
For the contractor, this meant fewer errors, time savings and smoother execution on site.
